Hello and thank you for visiting my website. My name is Ty Hilton.
I’ve always been drawn to challenges that test me physically and mentally. In elementary school, I once spent an entire 35-minute recess running laps around the playground just to see if I could do it. It was blazing hot, I didn’t drink any water, and I ended up in the doctor’s office that evening with a terrible stomach ache. Turns out I was so dehydrated I literally couldn’t poop 😂.
Today, I still love pushing my boundaries, but now I do it with a much deeper understanding of hydration, nutrition, and smart training. Ultra running has become more than just a test of endurance for me; it’s a practice in discipline, resilience, and continuous growth. And thankfully, I’ve learned how to chase big goals without landing back in the doctor’s office. Well......most of the time 😂
I started Ascent because I’m passionate about helping athletes grow, whether you’re stepping into your first ultra or you’re a seasoned runner looking to level up. No matter how long you’ve been in the sport, there’s always another layer to unlock, in performance, mindset, and self-awareness.
Ultra running is a lifelong practice of growth, and I’m committed to that process right alongside you. Through personalized, science-based coaching, structured strength training, intentional performance guidance, and strategic nutrition planning, my goal is to help you train smarter, fuel properly, stay healthy, and reach heights you didn’t know were possible.
